We recently completed this stunningly bright kitchen in Battersea. Our clients chose the Rye range of cabinetry, painted in ‘Temple Bar’ and ‘Rothschild Street’, both by Mylands for their island (which we cannot stop staring at). This kitchen has a very warm, comfortable and farmhouse feeling to it. (Yes, farmhouse in Battersea oh the powers of design!) The brass details, including the cabinetry knobs and cup pulls definitely add to this. Our clients used the Cotswold Cup Pulls and Cotswold Bun Knobs, both from our Pantry. The quartz worktops in Eternal Marfil, flow effortlessly into the farmhouse sink.

A Bora hob sits in the traditional hob position, however with no overhead ventilation required, it is instead replaced with spotlights as to keep the cooking area bright. These green Fired Earth tiles bring an extra colour and character to the space.

We are all so excited about this kitchen, but the very best thing as been this review from the clients, which has made us all feel so proud of our company and all we are trying to achieve with each design.

“I came across Herringbone on Instagram and loved that they were a small business making quality kitchens in the south east of England. Their sustainability emphasis really attracted me too. A tree for every kitchen- what a great idea!

When working with them I found them to be exactly as I expected from Instagram. Hard working, fun, with great ideas and a pleasure to design with. We miss spending time with David!

I love our new kitchen. We asked for a number of bespoke items: curved edges on our cabinets, an in drawer knife block and a wine rack. All of these were approached with excitement and rigour but most importantly work brilliantly in real life.

Yes going down to Canterbury is a pain, but I’m so glad they insist . We got so many additional ideas from being In the show room. We understood so much better what we would be getting. Having worked in property development I know everyone being clear about what is to be delivered from the outset is key to a harmonious installation. The trip to Canterbury is probably more important then trawling the web looking for ideas.”

The client had amazing taste in design and style, their pendant lights and wall sconces are from Jim Lawrence, while the fabric on the chairs, curtains and lampshades ties is beautifully with the purple toned island, is from Fermoie. Both designed and made in the UK, something that was very important to our client.

“Supporting British designers and makers as well as businesses has been easy and helps on the sustainability front". - Anna, Battersea

We wish the client many happy years in their new kitchen and are so happy they made the drive down to visit us in Canterbury and chose us for their kitchen!
