We recently completed this project for a family in Teddington and we can’t stop looking at the photos! The client chose bespoke cabinetry in the Westminster range, painted in Mylands’ famous blue ‘Bond Street’ and ‘Ludgate Circus’ in an eggshell finish for their kitchen island. We love using Mylands as they are water-based low VOC paint, which is very rare in this industry. While it was not the easy option, we felt true to our ethos. We have worked tirelessly to come up with a method that makes using water-based paint both practical for the kitchen and eco-friendly.

They choose of mixture of the Sparkbrook Pulls and Sparkbrook T-Bars in a satin brass finish and look fantastic against the dark colour of the cabinetry. To learn more about the handles click the link below. The open shelving on the kitchen island is a brilliant way of displaying your favourite cookbooks or any other decorative bits you cherish.

The worktops and splashback are a lightly veined quartz in ‘Eternal Statuario’, which not only contrast beautifully with the dark blue cabinetry but are also easy to clean. We love the decision of taking the quartz slabs all the way to the wall units as this gives the kitchen a grandness and seamless look.

The undermounted sink on the island gives an incredibly clean and seamless look to the space while the Quooker boiling water tap makes making a cuppa in the morning a lot quicker!
